• HRNK - Committee for Human Rights in North KoreaHRNK established in 2001. Web site has a blog (under Announcements, on the left). Site also has satellite photos, US congressional hearings, podcasts, publications about prison camps (all full-text PDFs)
• New Focus InternationalCreated in 2011 by Jang Jin-sung, "psychological warfare officer and poet laureate under Kim Jong-il." Author of book "Dear Leader: Poet, Spy, Escapee -- a Look Inside North Korea." Advisors include former officials of DPRK from many fields. Includes reports/analysis, interviews, guest pieces, NK Insights (military, economy, politics, refugees, society).
• North Korea Leadership WatchWordpress blog about the North Korean leadership; includes biographies, info on the security apparatus & the Party. "Reports about the country’s leadership, its activities and decisions are deliberately opaque. More often than not, they involve rumor and gossip rather than hard facts. This blog endeavors to offer only accurate and precise information. All material on it is regularly corrected, updated and revised."
• North Korea TechSan-Francisco based blog covering news about North Korean technology, space & satellites, media, business, security issues and internet.
• One Free KoreaBlog site begun in 2004. Has latest news bulletins, maps, satellite images and information about prison camps, and under "Google Earth" tab, photos of nuclear sites, Air Force fields, and leaders' palaces.
